Learn what the Montage Risk Index is

     You are Here:

The Montage Risk Index™ is a three-digit number (similar to a credit score) indicates the relative vulnerability of an individual business to management liability risk.

  • The Montage Risk Index™ does not predict the likelihood of a management liability situation occurring (e.g. predict the weather), it does assess vulnerability should a business find itself in a management liability situation (e.g. if a storm were to strike, what is the likelihood of damage).
  • The number ranges from 0, those businesses most resilient to management liability risk, to 1000, those businesses most vulnerable to management liability risk.

Every Montage Risk Index™ is customized for specific management liability risk market segments and applications, such as:

  • Employment Practices Liability (EPL)
  • Professional - Errors and Omissions Liability (E&O)

The Montage Risk Index™ generates a variety of optional reports pertinent to each unique Montage Risk Index™ number that explains risk drivers in an individual business to avoid loss.

  • Montage Risk Index™ Report: explains, in one page, what the number represents.
  • Diagnostic Report: describes the top three contributing risk factors in order of importance and priority, providing links to resources for risk mitigation.
  • Analytic Reports:

    • isolate significant areas of business risk to:
      • prioritize allocation of loss prevention and education resources
    • compare risk levels in different business lines to:
      • prioritize risk avoidance efforts

      • provide information to strengthen internal controls
    • improve premium pricing
